My stay at Alpenlodge was truly nice. The amazing view of the Matterhorn from my room was everything I hoped for. I appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations, although the location was a bit of a trek from the center of Zermatt. The homemade afternoon snacks were a good treat, yet I wished for more variety in the breakfast options.
I absolutely loved my stay at Alpenlodge! The amazing views of the Matterhorn from my room and balcony made waking up there feel like a dream. The breakfast selection was fresh and delicious, but I would've liked to see some hot options. That said, the hospitality was great, with attentive staff who offered great tips for local hikes. The only downside was the distance from the center, which was a bit of a trek back after a long day exploring, but the serenity was worth it.
I enjoyed my stay at Alpenlodge, primarily due to the lovely views of the Matterhorn from my spacious room's balcony. The uphill walk to the hotel from Zermatt was quite a trek. which made dining out less appealing at times. While the breakfast was delicious, I found some aspects a bit lacking, particularly the raclette dinner which felt overpriced for the value offered.

On the downside, the location is uphill, which could be a bit of a workout especially with luggage, but it was well worth it for the tranquility.
